Anticipation

In just a few weeks, Vance will take his last final and I will leave my job. Then we are going to say peace to Illinois and leave for Utah. Vance just got accepted to do research in a lab at BYU so we get to go back a lot sooner than expected. Excited? Absolutely I am.

It is hard to believe that Vance is almost finished with his first year of med school. He has done really well and he has learned a lot. He learned how to suture the other day and I think that he is secretly hoping that I will cut myself so he can sew me up. On an exciting note, Vance just had his first medical case study published and presented it at a research symposium. He presented on an unusual surgery case about a patient with a hernia the size of a basketball. I will say it again, I am really glad I am not in med school.

Vance...cut Ali and then sew her up. I trust your steady M1 student hands. Then, I will take out your sutures when her wound is all healed. That is all the lowly RN can do...
